Nobody in the piece mentions that Chinese export now requires a license. That's not an oversight, it's a timing accident that makes the whole "AI slashes costs, drama goes global" narrative read like a press release for a market that just got a border fence. DataEye's own H1 numbers undercut the same story from the other side: ad creative volume up 324%, overseas IAP revenue up 13%. That gap is not growth, it's the cost of buying attention rising faster than anyone is willing to pay for the product behind it.

Meanwhile Epis launched in March and is only now calling August its debut — 21,473 installs, 17 reviews, 2.6 stars, unranked. Holywater's Nesvit gets a Bloomberg citation the same week his own cofounder has to clarify it on social because there was no other channel to correct the record. The pattern across both is the same: the export story is being told by people quoting each other, not by people checking install sheets or decree dates. The chart doesn't need a memory problem fixed. It needs someone to read the document before citing the headline built on top of it.
