Two Charts, Zero Overlap

Consumer rankings haven't moved in a week — the minishort top 10 is a rerun of Week 29, same ten titles, same ratings, down to the decimal. Meanwhile socialpeta's ad-spend leaderboard has turned over completely: "Lace Me Up, My Queen" and its 10,900 ads are gone, replaced by "Sister Stole My Guy, I Got the Emperor" at 10,377. Nothing from the new spend leader cracks the consumer chart. Nothing from the consumer chart shows up in ad pressure. These are not two views of the same market; they're two markets that happen to share a genre.

That split explains why "Sister Stole My Guy" posts a VDS of 88.2 on ad_pressure alone, momentum at 65, everything else null — a title bought into visibility with no proof anyone's actually pulling it. "Dr.Wifey Please Touch Me" sits at 85.0 the other way: consumer_pull 95, reach 95, no ad_pressure data at all, and it's the one holding a stable top-10 slot for two weeks running.

The industry is still pricing acquisition and retention as if they were the same signal. They're not, and the studios buying their way onto the spend chart know it — that's precisely why they're buying.

This analysis crosses data from 13 independent sources. The VerticalDrama Score (VDS) is a proprietary composite metric.
