Reach Is Not the Same Currency as Rank

Move Aside! I'm the Final Boss sits at VDS 77, driven almost entirely by a reach score of 95 against a middling momentum of 50. It also sits at #5 on the ReelShort chart with 317 million views, more than triple anything else in the current top ten. Read those two facts side by side and the dissonance is the story: a show can dominate volume and still rank behind titles moving a fraction of its audience. The chart is ordinal, the VDS is compositional, and nobody watching only the leaderboard would know the gap exists.

My X-Ray Vision Sees Right Through You held #10 both weeks, views ticking up from 155 million to 157 million — flat position, real growth, VDS 73 on the strength of momentum rather than reach. That's a different shape of success than Final Boss, and the chart flattens both into the same rank. High Society, by contrast, jumped to #2 with 31 million views and still scores a mixed-signals 53. Position on these boards tells you almost nothing about durability. The platforms publish rank because rank is legible.
