Ad Spend Frozen Solid Is Its Own Story

The socialpeta top ten hasn't moved a single rank since week 31. Same ten titles, same order, same 15,330 ads on The Hidden Queen Strikes Back. In an industry that sells itself on velocity — new hook every 48 hours, new IP dropping weekly — a leaderboard that stands completely still for two weeks is not stability, it's evidence of something closing. Either the buyers stopped testing, or the testing found its ceiling and nobody's paying to push past it. VDS confirms the read: every one of these titles carries a null on consumer_pull, overseas_heat, reach, platform. We have ad pressure and nothing else. That's not a data gap, that's the entire model exposed — a market measuring itself exclusively by how hard it's willing to buy its own attention.

Elsewhere the same week produced the Epis dataset: 21,473 installs, 2.6 stars, 17 reviews, a "launch" that Apple's own feed shows happened five months earlier. Two different platforms, two different lies — one frozen in ad spend, one backdated in PR — and both point at the same discipline problem. This vertical still hasn't built a metric that can't be gamed by whoever controls the announcement date.

This analysis crosses data from 13 independent sources. The VerticalDrama Score (VDS) is a proprietary composite metric.
